GRANDMA'S HOUSE
Located at the front of the main gallery
This small, open-plan cottage was designed and constructed by Adrian Alaniz and Wade Hughes with the intention of bringing end-of-life planning into public discussion. Elmo the Elephant moved into the house, without much notice, that same year. He sits, silently, waiting to be addressed by visitors. This house is currently open to the public.

Elmo, the Elephant

Everyone wants to go to heaven,
just not today.
Planning ten years too early is better than one day too late.
Death is not the
opposite of life. It is only a phase of life.

Advance Directives: How young is too young to need one.

But others do not. And that should be their right.

Dying is an art, like everything else.
